When you make interior appointments, how far will you go to accomodate the owner's schedule? I do weekends all the time, no thought, but I usually turn down early mornings. I just missed an 8:15 am appointment the lady is upset, left for work at 8:25 (I drove by like 8:27). I understand her, my fault no problem.

But now I'm likely to have to deal with her calling the bank, when I'm thinking I should have just told her I can't do an appointment before 9:00 She sure can't tell the bank about it before 9:00

Obviously, once I made the appointment, I should have been there. No doubt, but what kind of limits do y'all put on your schedule?

I live in a busy city with serious traffic. I try to work with their schedule by letting them know my times since I will not drive into the city during peak hours,I'll be crazy and still miss the appt. If I am running behind schedule I call, it's the best thing to do,it shows consideration.

Honestly that situation has become such a problem, our office has stopped performing occupied interior orders. They are too much of a hassle having to work around the occupants schedule, especially when that involves early mornings and weekends.

I schedule interiors around my schedule. I am willing to do weekends (around my son's activities) but I don't do early mornings. If the homeowner's schedule doesn't work with mine, I just call my client and let them know.

I do from dawn to dusk...trying to work around their schedule, my schedule and traffic. I don't do evenings. I do Saturdays but not Sundays. And, I have my pepper spray on my key chain.

Thanks...it turned out okay after all... lady was very nice and I got the shots this afternoon. One of my er difficulties this morning was with my communication hardware. It was just a disaster all around. I think I'm going to start making a 9:30 rule. I'm just not reliable any earlier. (Funny thing is I'm at the gym 3 days a week at 6, but that's different, it's my time.)
