I agree with this wholeheartedly.. Because I once had a yahoo snapping my house and I asked what was going on turns out he had the wrong house I said you want the one two doors down. I personally don't think the money is worth the stress so I don't do them if there very remote or bad area. But again, with all the fraud going on a person may not even be in default and think your a pediphile or something.

People get suspicious when you point a camera at them. I am thinking of inventing a camera setup where the camera sits on top of the car on a rotating post and a monitor in the cabin is attached to the LCD screen. Kind of like the one on the Mars Rover. That way, you can look at the monitor in your car to center the pic and shoot without focusing your attention at the house.

Like during the winterization process when it's vacant? From the time that it goes into default until the time the occupants are actually out can be a long time depending on the laws in your state. Why should the bank have to wait to get an idea of how it looks? Of course, there are so many reasons for BPOs and many of them have nothing to do with foreclosure. I have been approached a few times. Sometimes I can just leave before they reach me, but I have had to explain myself a time or two. I have also had a couple of instances where I approached the owner before taking a picture. In both cases, I knew that the BPO wasn't for a foreclosure and there were kids playing in the front yard. Being a parent, I didn't want anyone to think I was taking pictures of the kids, so I spoke to the owners first.

Having the website emblem and license frames have not helped me. When someone is chasing they don't really care or notice who you are. They only wanna know why you are taking pictures.
I don't run, they can't chase. I feel like trying to get away quickly only encourages them to get angry. Stop tell them honestly what I doing and move on.

The one time I was chased by the fist-shaking guy in the pick-up truck was the exception. That time, there was NO WAY I was going to let him get in front of my vehicle and block me. I held onto the center of that gravel road.

Check your state on tint laws. Michigan is strict about it. Some states will allow dark tint and reflective tint. You can see out clearly, but nobody can see in (with reflective tint). Some states allow tint but some wont allow reflective tint at all. Michigan wont allow anything lower than 4" from the top of the window on the front passenger/driver windows, but you can tint all the other ones how dark you want.
