Hello,I put my package together for the company I will be working with and took the photo I had taken with me. The receptionist told me it's better on a cd. The place where I took my photo does cd's but they take different shots & it's $49. Does this sound right? I was told by my office that I just need high resolution & 300dpi. I have a friend that is a graphic designer & has a good camera equipment, should I have her do it?
Thanks.

Yes, she said she would look into it but in the meantime, I wanted to rush & get another one not to loose any time. Are the cd pics that expensive?

No, but a little overkill for a business card. The picture is what, just over an inch big? Just scan your 4x6 or 5x7 photo at 300 dpi and the quality will be more then enough.

What Ben said.

Also, if you don't have a scanner, look into a flatbed one with a sheet feeder. My life got about 10 times easier once I started scanning everything into the computer. HP makes the one I use.

If you don't have a scanner, WalGreens will scan it to CD for you. You can fill up a whole CD for less than $5. I have a scanner, but I use them sometimes because the quality is better.

Thanks for your help, but I did take another picture & put it on cd. It was a better picture, the cost ended up being $15 for the session 6 poses, & $49.99 for each picture downloaded (expensive) but like you all say it's my own business & I have been there before, you have to invest. I am looking forward to getting my cards soon so I can start handing them out!
