I am doing my first Countrywide BPO. The form will not let me submit. I check the "check accuracy" box and find that in Sections 3 and 4 there are items in yellow and/or red.

1. How is the distance in mileage from the subject for
the comps be entered in the form?

I hvae .5, or 1.2 miles and the form says "subject
proximity is not a numerical value". What does the
Countrywide want me to enter to signify 1/2 miles or .7
tenths of a mile.?

Please advise.

2. Are Countrywide reps lacksidasical about responding to agents' requests for help?

I left one voicemail and submitted two emails re: the above issue and it is four hours later and I still have no response from anyone. Is this normal for Countrywide?

If the distance is .5, you must enter it as 0.5 miles. There has to be a number in front of the decimal place. I think it is the same way for the acreage.

1. Try just using numbers, leaving off the M or the miles. I can't remember the CW form for sure, but if you have already indicated RURAL, the form may automatically assume you are doing miles, not blocks. Or, it may assume miles all the time.

Thank you OHAgent. Your suggestion re: 0.50; placing a zero in front worked.

Thank you Lizl for your comment about the lack of response of Countrywide reps. Usually, most of the other reps are very responsive. This is the first that I have come across that is non-responsive and it sticks out compared to the others.

O.K. Just finished my first Countrywide BPO.

When I have something urgent.. I just keep calling back... over and over... eventually someone will pick up the phone. If it's not too urgent, I leave a messsage and usually get a call back in about 36 to 48 hours. email might take an extra day.
BTW, CW is great on paying. I keep score on "days to receipt of $".. always between 14 and 28.. mostly on the shorter end.
