My spouse recently inherited a home worth approximately 350k. Unfortunately there were no trusts etc, in place for tax relief.

My question is if we decide to keep the property what kind of tax liability will we be faced with?

I realize this is a board comprised of agents and not accountants, but any info would be appreciated.

What state is the property in and what state is your spouse in? Some states have an inheritance tax that could apply to an heir's right to receive property.
