I send a "chat" message to my rep about once a week, just so he knows my name.

Ever since they changed over to only being to the 2 minute wait time, I havent gotten one BPO from them. Before that, I was getting about 15 a week. I miss them. They are one of my favorites. I could fly through their forms.

I just received an exterior BPO request for only $45 from EML via e-mail. Haha! No thanks. I responded to the "reason for decline" as fee too low!

Scott, Their fees are posted on the website, and you asked how they were on this board last week, why would you even sign up if they are not good enough for you. By the way, if it matters to you, they add $10 if you get it done in 48 hours. I doubt many here will laugh with you, as I would be willing to bet EML is one of the favorite companies of the most people on this board. They pay like clockwork, forms are easy(except for one of them), very understanding and helpful staff and keep many here very happy.

I guess I missed the reply about the $45 in my other post. I would be willing to work for that fee IF I was getting multiple orders on a regular basis. I guess I'm just spoiled with other companies paying $65+ for the same work.
I'll call them tomorrow and ask if they can give me some assurance that I'll get a lot of work from them. If so, the fee is justified IMO.
I just don't want to have to "hover" around the PC and "hope" to get $45-$55 work, when I am getting more without being tied to the PC.
As for the fast payment, I have no problem getting paid monthly, if they were to increase the fee to at least $65 (average for me on an exterior).
I can only do so many a week and the $$$ jobs get priority.
Thanks for the replies! I'll not write them off yet.

By not accepting the fees that EML pays, you have eliminated two other good companies (I find them to be good anyway), LandAm and Harbor. All three of these companies pay about the same. Good luck to you but if I were you I would probably change your attitude a little or you will probably have a hard time succeeding in this business.

To me, it's not only what they pay but how long it's going to take me to complete the work. ONe company only pays in the high $30's but only requires 1 sold comp, no photo and that is all. If the properties are close-in in a suburb, I can do 4 or 5 of them an hour. That is better than a job that is 30 miles away and hard to find comps.

UPDATE:
They called me this morning and asked if I could perform an order for them. I told them that I was getting paid a minium of $65 from other companies. The rep was really nice and agreed to the increase. They raised my fee to $65 on the 3 that were available and updated my file to reflect my minimum fee as $65.
Just thought I'd let you guys know. I received another 2 this evening and they already had the $65 fee noted!
I assume I'm either lucky or am in an area where they don't have many reliable agents to perform work for them.
I'll agree with others here, the form is easy to use. All of mine are the V forms.
Again, thanks for the replies.

I can agree with you all of EML attributes of easy forms and clock work payment. I was disappointed to learn after they took the GMAC account, my orders dwindled from them and of course GMAC work dried up too...high rankings with both companies notwithstanding.

I just signed up with eml 2 weeks ago and have gotten 3 orders...1 interior $80 and 2 exterior $45/$55. From the beginning, I have thanked my rep for the work...not sure if it makes a difference. Im new to the bpo's and really in a strange way like them. I use it as my busy work as my family and I just moved to a new area and I had to start my business over (after 5 years in one area!). So I do these to supliment my income and keep me busy while in the office. I have learned so much about my new market area as well! I have signed up for about 50 companies (most I got from reading posts). I have done 6 in the last 2 weeks...im thinking there may not be too many agents doing these in my area . Im continuing to search for more to sign up with...

I have to think twice about doing any $50 orders, as I'm used to getting more from auto-assign companies. IF I get a lower-fee order and it's not too far away or I'm going to that area anyway, I grab 'em- other than that, they can get passed on to the hungrier agents. Of course, "my area" consists of 9 counties with numerous small towns scattered through the hills. So just about anywhere I go it's 50 or more miles round trip, and only a few counties fax records- most you have to go to, which can add a lot of miles/time to the trip. Most of the time, $50 just isn't worth it to me. I do like EML and try to get their orders, but if I will be losing money to do the job, I'll pass.

Yes, we have some local credit unions in my area and I called their real estate loan deparment and asked who they use. I happen to already be getting work from the company they use, just never received any requests from the credit unions. I guess I will down the road. Good luck and never hesitate to make contact. Happy 4th!!

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
