Has anyone tried the Opera Browser for PDA's and Smartphones? I am trying to figure out a way to accept emails from websites with frames (LandAm, EML etc.) I have a PDA from Sprint and I CANNOT accept the emails with windows mobile as some people on this board have said they can. Any ideas? Thanks!

I can accept EML via email with Opera on my sony P900. The acceptance page does not display correctly, but it gets the job done. The page displays a bit garbled, but I can scroll through to see if I accepted or if I got beat out.

You cannot log into Mindbrix sites with any mobile browser. Period. Period. Period. Opera does not work either. Also it has nothing to do with frames. It has to do with security, and the Mindbrix sites' security features are not designed to be compatible with mobile browsers.

But you should be able to accept via the e-mail notifications. I've used the same phone/pda you have and had no trouble.

How is your e-mail set up on your device? Do you use Exchange, are you having them text messaged to you, POP/WMAP, Domino or other? If you are having the e-mails sent via text message the links do not work. This would be if you used your text e-mail address such as 555444333@sprinttext.com for your e-mail. (or whatever the address is)

They need to be sent as actual e-mail to Mobile Outlook. Whether that is via direct push from an Exchange server (fastest), POP from a web e-mail such as Yahoo etc.. (slow), or third party sofware that monitors your Outlook and forwards immediately to your device. Other options as well.

My guess is that you have used your text address and not actual e-mail on Mobile Outlook.

I realize that I cannot access the site itself, but many people have said on this forum that they can accept the e-mails. I am trying to put the pieces together and figure out why I can't accept them. I don't have the technical knowledge that you have, but I am using my earthlink address, not text messaging. I get the e-mail, but cannot click on the link. Yesterday I missed 7 BPO's!

My next step is to try gotomypc.com, but I am looking for a cheaper fix for now.

So are you logging into your earthlink account using the browser? Or are you actually getting the emails forwarded from earthlink to your device? Also I think that earthlink only offers POP3 mail, which I think can only be refreshed at max every five minutes. My thought is that earthlink mail is removing the links, just a hunch. Send yourself an e-mail with a link of any website (copy from address bar on your pc)and see if it works on your device to test it.

To solve the problem I would consider getting access to a Hosted Exchange Server. It is designed for Outlook and it will sync up everything in Outlook to your device seamlessly. I use www.1and1.com for $7/month. There are several other companies as well, I think HP has one for $3/mo. Its hard to explain in writing. If you need a hand send me an e-mail aaron@ntreo.com.
