Hey Everyone!
First of all, I want to acknowledge the enormous help this forum has been to build my new BPO business and continued education regarding new companies, tactics, etc. This place is awesome!!
I had an idea the other day, and I'm sure I'm not the first to have this idea, but let me know your thoughts anyway, will you?
Lately I've been doing a lot of interior's for people to remove their PMI (I always thought banks wanted a full appraisal for that??). I'm not sure what the homeowners are paying the bank, but I'm sure it's something. One contact said they had to send in $115, while I was paid $40 for an auto-accepted interior with one sold comp.
How about advertising in the paper a way for people to remove their PMI? Provide a BPO service for them, enabling them to provide your report to the bank. Or, have some sort of authorization to release loan information signed so we can deal directly with the bank for them and provide the report to have the PMI removed? And/Or provide a guarantee to the homeowner that if we cannot get the PMI removed with our report, it is no charge... some of us might think that's a bit risky, though! I suppose an initial thought is to just check with the bank to see if your report would be acceptable to determine the current market value. If the answer is yes... then proceed.
Any thoughts?
