I'm looking for feedback as to whether a franchise is an advantage, if you are seeking to build your REO business. Do you think it makes any difference in our field?

Normally I would say no, but recently I was in a situation where the owner of an REO property went with the other agent because they were affiliated with a national franchise...

Kuntyhart, I think that the franchise name helps much and is reassurring to some sellers. Is there a franchise out there that has something to do with REO properties? It probably does not matter. I am just curious.

we are not a national franchise, and we have the largest share of reo listings in our area. I have never had a problem with it.

Well, I know there are those who prefer to deal with the franchised companies, but judging from the amount of business I am starting to get, as an independant, I don't think the difference is as great as I had assumed. Just keep doing good work, and your business will grow....
