I'm not certain if there isn't a better area of the forums for this. I'm a chef and I am very close to retiring, and I want to start my own real estate photography business. I have shot photos and videos pf homes for friends, coworkers etc. who were putting their homes on the market, and to my surprise I really enjoyed the process. I'm a frequent traveler and amateur photographer, and I have a whole host of good equipment so I am well prepared to start once I have everything organized. I can easily manage the business license, bonding and insuring once I am ready to start. I also have high res camera drones and an invoicing software suite.

I have been researching what constitutes a realistic and competitive pricing structure, and I'm find some conflicting information online (big surprise there), so I'm trying to determine what realtors/homebuilders etc. will readily pay and what would be considered a good deal. Also I am trying to decide how to approach people to promote the business - I'd rather go directly who would use the service. I am not a salesperson and would like to be able to let my work sell itself. I have mapped out my schedule and I can easily shoot 45 +/- homes in a month, so I have the better part of the business model built.

Any input would be appreciated.

Use the word "photography" and do a search in the right hand column . . . . you'll get hundreds of Posts in dozens of past discussions.

You can decide for yourself where best to place yours; but photography is not usually a topic in the Home Inspection Forum.

Good luck !
