Wordpress is definitely a good way to go. It is easy to use and customize. If you have the time and desire to learn, there are lots of tutorials on YouTube.

If you don't want to tackle it on your own, you can hire someone on or who can build one pretty inexpensively.

WordPress is great, like a lot of people have said, but if you really aren't technical and don't enjoy that aspect, then I think WP is going to be a bad fit for you, you'll likely do better spending a bit more and getting a hands-off solution, it will cost more, both upfront and monthly hosting, but then you won't have to worry about keeping it up to date and running smoothly.

Start with a wordpress backend. It's the easy to manipulate once you have it down. Plus you can use new innovative templates such as the Divi Builder from Elegant Themes to brand your site with a great first impression.

I currently use one SEO company to help me out with my online marketing efforts, and it just makes communication and streamlining the process so much smoother.

Hope this helps out!

Good luck!

In agreement with everyone here, we do the majority of our work on WP. Find a freelancer, small 1 person operation, and they can produce some great work at an affordable price. All that being said, you do get what you pay for with designers and developers. Prices can range $1000-$20000.

you can do it your self or hire a freelancer to build your site

and you can also do it yourself by installing a WordPress at your hosting then purchase a premium theme and design it with drag and drop features.

if you hire a freelancer then he will do it all the technical stuff for you and also charge you less to do those tasks

You can also use a platform like Squarespace or Wix, they give you creative freedom, you don't have to rely on a designer to make updates and they take care of optimizing for search engines and mobile devices.
