So, I joined a 'team' it has been ok. I had some leads given to me right off bat. So, I have about 4 hot leads I'm working with. As the downtime passes I call my sphere, call leads, market. Well, Now there is some down time with the clients as they are in cold mode. So, some days its like I don't have much to do. I'm trying to pack my pipeline. I've sent out cards, called my sphere... Some days its like wtf I don't have anything to do or like two hours worth of work. I don't like that. What am I doing wrong here?

Make cold calls, knock on doors, send out direct mail to an area to farm, starting doing open houses.

When you say, "team" do you mean a team-team, or a brokerage? Are you free to roam as you please? If you are, ask other agents in your office if they can refer you to any buyers/sellers/renters. They may have leads they don't really want to work with.

Definitely knock on doors. It's incredibly uncomfortable to do, but it's more effective than you'd think. One neighborhood at a time, and don't give up.

The average real estate agent sells one or two properties their first year in the business. About 75 percent of new agents fail in that first year. It is important to understand that you are building a business, and it takes time. Every successful agent you see had to start in the same place you are starting.

Continue to work on your business every day. Be patient. As you increase your knowledge, your confidence will increase.

And the average experienced agent sells about five. The road to lasting success is called prospecting. How many new agents will really do it?
