Ah, you uncovered one of my best kept secrets in my market ;-) It's such a cheap, effective and legally binding way to keep a deal in motion.

Rather than write up offer letters and require signers to print, ink sign, and scan I just text or email them a link to e-sign the offer. Also a beautiful e-signature stands out and gives a little bit of flashy factor since no other agents in my area use them.

I use this cheap esignature site.

At the end of the day no single tool is a game changer but I can't imagine not using e-signatures anymore. I get deals signed so much faster which at a minimum gives me comfort as opposed to waiting and waiting. Hope that helps.

I've never heard brokers closing more deals just because of an e-signature.

If someone wants to buy or sell a house, they'll do whatever it takes to get it. They're not going to let coming into the office to sign some forms stop them.

Thank you for sharing this @dealguy. I actually found a new service today that does this for a one time fee rather than the $29/month I've been paying.

I've been using Bidsketch: https://www.bidsketch.com/
New WordPress plugin is: https://www.approveme.me/

I've got several clients on WordPress websites and was wondering if this would be a valuable addition for them. I had no idea wether this would be viable for real estate. I don't know if it would close more sales, but I could see it being a lot easier on the agent.

I thought you said you were still in school and that you're NOT a Licensee . . . . so why are you paying money for this ?

I wonder if you're not confusing me with someone else Vermont.

I am taking college classes, but college is part time and I do run my own business. I'm not a licensee, I'm an internet marketer with clients in the real estate business.

Here's my intro post: http://www.agentsonline.net/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/449926/Hello_all.html#Post449926

But to the real question, why I pay for it...

Most of my clients are young entrepreneurs whose heads would explode if I tried to send them a fax and snail mail is too expensive and time consuming from South America to the U.S.

So you have enough active Contracts requiring legally binding facsimile signatures to warrant your spending nearly $350.00 USD each year in order to speed the process up ?

Business must be good; very, very . . . . very good.

Congratulations !

My state Realtor's Association includes a free esignature program with our forms so there's no need to go outside and purchase esignature programs separately.

Thanks Vermont,

I'm sure like everyone else, I'd like for business to be better, but it's doing well enough that I can justify business expenses. Of course, I'm always looking to cut expenses like everyone else as well. I don't actually use it for contracts though, it's really used for bids for me. The faster I can get them there and the more professional they are, the more likely I am to get the project.

The way I see it, most real estate agents spend that much each month on a car payment, which I don't have. Everyone has their expenses, mine is software.

Speed is key now. E-signature allows offers to move MUCH quicker sometimes beating out your competition for the property.

I enjoy being green while making green.

It speeds up the process a little, but some will fill empty without something in their hand to validates the process.

We use it all the time. Beats having to fax or drive back and forth.
