What do you guys think is better when contacting FSBOs, calling or door knocking?

Also, what's the general consensus on cold calling? I plan starting each day with a few hours of cold calling, have you guys had any success with this?

Every FSBO is an individual; some may even be your Friends and Relatives.

Some are people who've bought and sold privately in the past; some complete novices; others have already had a disappointing experience with an Agent on the same property; others don't have enough equity in the property to pay a Commission.

There is no one size fits all.

You're less likely to be hung up on if you're standing at their door; few people will slam it in your face.

I never devoted much time to FSBOs, but often gave them a lot of free advice. I only pursued those that were reasonable and actually had a nice property which would make a valuable listing for me (something more than just a good location to place a sign).

Of those that I wanted, I probably got well over 50% of those I set out to get; but there was no standard approach. And there are plenty that you DO NOT WANT; still many FSBOs make better Clients than the run-of-the-mill Sellers . . . . and they often appreciate what we do.

I've been a FSBO a few times myself; it can make sense.
