I am an agent representing a buyer who is using VA financing. The underwriting came back with a condition for a "certified" copy of the contract. I've tried to ask tons of questions and having gotten little clarification on anything. Here's what the underwriter sent back:
Obtain certified copy of purchase contract and all amendments. The agent has to certify it with either a stamp and signature or would write it on there. Typically the RE agent would do it since they most likely have the original. It is required on all VA purchases.
I'm at a loss of what I'm supposed to do and I've never heard of this.
I deleted my duplicate post in the other forum, I wasn't sure where to put it for an answer.
I have a copy of the executed contract but they are asking for a "certified" copy that requires a stamp and signature. I don't what kind of stamp they are asking for, etc. It is coming from the underwriter for my buyer's loan. They say its required for all VA loans but I've never heard of it.
I emailed my broker but haven't gotten a response yet.
This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
