Saw an older thread but curious what people are doing now..

Should I get a separate phone for my work or just use my same phone that may ring at midnite.

I know ringer can be turned off but what if family emergency?

Should one just get a totally separate phone for work?

We haven't had a land line for years...I've had my main cell number for 16 years and it is on 1 carrier and I have a backup with another carrier in case of emergency or no service..I don't publish/give out the backup number. Both are smart phones with data

I have one main number that serves as both personal and for business...most clients will text me if it is after 9:00 or so and late night calls from Clients/Customers are not an issue.

You haven't heard of do not disturb? On an iphone you can send all calls to voicemail at certain times. However you can allow certain people to ring through just in case if it's an emergency. Or if someone calls a certain number of times in a row then it will allow it to go through. I would never carry two cell phones. I could understand a business line that forwards to a cell.

You can get another phone number (2 numbers) on the same phone.

You can get a dual SIM phone. At Night you can shut down the work SIM.
