Just a heads up anyone out there that may have a property closing from 3/28/2010 to 4/12/2010 that NEEDS flood insurnace.
Congress adjourned Friday, letting the national flood insurance program lapse, beginning March 28. Since Congress is on Easter break until April 12, this means NO NEW or renewed flood insurance during this period. Bottom line NO insurance agent in America can get your client a flood policy during the time period above.

FLOOD INSURANCE is BACK--

Congress has approved funding for flood insurance
so agents can now quote and issue flood insurance.

Could anyone give some articles on this? Or expected rates for the Nville floodplain? A lot of people in this segment are wanting to get more protections given water levels.
