The future of real estate is the future of all business.

Increased efficiency.

I know there are some detractors here, but the future has our business going more and more into the digital realm.

Trulia, Zillow, and the like didn't exist 8 or 9 years ago. Now they are giants.

Real estate is still local. However, as time goes on and technology becomes more robust, it will take on more and more attributes of a non-local business.

And, as always... As soon as you get used to it, it will change 100% again.

I think the market (at least here in the U.S.) will continue going up for a while, but if prices rise too high above the level of income that people are bringing home, be prepared for another stagnant period, or possibly even a dip in prices again.

Since most people obtain financing to buy their properties, the interest rates and types of loans will always play a role in housing prices, whether they are going up or down.

I have to agree with Howe; the biggest element of the future is that more and more elements of the process will be conducted online.

I also feel that more and more international transactions will become the norm.

Hey Johnny I truly agree with you. If we are capable enough to predict any business future then we should not go for that business. You have to be ready to take any risk if you want to become a perfect businessman.

Depends on where you are, real estate market is intrinsically linked to the local economic situation. Where I am living, the future of real estate looks scary.

Well it depends on which area you are. I must say that you just have to know your market and always be flexible to the trends.
