Do any of y'all do $6 property inspections?

I have too much other stuff to be doing!

Five Brothers seemed to think that $6 is the going rate, but that they might go as high as $7.

I can't see how it makes sense to take the time to drive to a property for that, unless it we within a block of my home or office! Am I missing something?

I don't do a PI for less than 30.00. I would never do one for $6.00. With the price of gas you are not making anything.

I told the rep that the cheapest that I ever did anything was a $25 RELS "Is it there, is it on fire, and is it next to a nuclear waste dump" one-phot property inspection, and I did not really like to do those.

I am amazed that anyone would do anything for $6. I can only imagine that their reps feel like idiots calling agents and telling them what the fee is. I bet they could never look you in the eye and tell you with a straight face that they are offering you a $6 job.

Five brothers usually pays really well - I have only done 2 interior BPO's for them, but they were $100 & $125 - on the $125, they paid me extra because I had to make 2 trips to the property - I didn't even ask them to, they just paid me an extra $25. Are you sure the rep said six and not sixty?

Yes i recieved there contractor packet and for there drive by exterior inspection it is 6 dollars. There bpo's are a different animal.I decided with getting 85 to 110 rush bpo's that 6.00 inspections aren't feasible.I thought i could just send my mom out there to take some shots and it would make sense for bulk, but i have decide not to do any of those and just stick to the bpo's.The ext pi inspections for e-mortgage are awesome easy form a few pics and a quick 30 i wish i could get more of those.

$6 is an insult... I take some for FARVV for $15 sometimes if its en route... and I do the $25 jobs for RELS because they're real steady with other work.

$6 this week is 1.88 gallons of gas or 33.97 miles.

If it was within 5 miles travel distance that would leave a whopping $4.41 after gas (my ride 20 MPG &$3.179) If you can accept the order, locate the address, drive to, take the picture, drive fro, upload the pic to your computer, crop the picture, upload to their site, fill out the form, read it over a second time and hit submit all within 50.4 minutes you just earned Federal Minimum Wage.

I've an old contractor friend (tile setter) who taught me: "Before you low ball a job, ask yourself 'Do I want to work my a$$ off and be poor or just sit on the couch and be poor?' "

Tell 'em to cram it.

I was just trying to figure out how anyone could possibly find it profitable to do these jobs. I could not wrap my mind around the idea that there are people out there with a real estate license who cannot figure something more profitable to do with their time.

Of course, I end up doing plenty of work for nothing in this business, trying to put deals together. But at least that is with the intent of making some money! But I just can't do anything for $6.00!

You do not need a license to do these for many companies. Not that it can help you wrap your head around it but I know of a large property preservation company that does occ checks for $6-15 that employs services of non licensed photo takers. These photo takers take photos for other reasons as well, such as insurance underwriting, vehicle repos, auto insurance claims and etc...One of these services is www.fastsnap.com. I have an aquaintance that started doing this, when they were laid off from their job, and is still doing it part time. He had many days where he would get 30+ orders. Not big bucks but I'm sure if you build a good system of it you can make a decent part time income.

You know the scary thing is there are enough clowns out there that actually do it for 6 bucks.. I wouldn't walk next door for that,, The cheapest I do a PI is $25.00 and thats only if I'm already going to be in that area.

I'll do the FARVVs for $15, because it's a quick 3 minute form, and one or two pictures. Only if it is on route to other orders or to/from school.

They just sent out an interior for $60 that's about 30-45 min away. I am going to pretend I didn't see it. LOL
