I only have one listing. I don't know how well it's going to sell because it's priced high & the closed sales are not in that range but the actives are. I will not be paying for advertising since my company has a new program that if sellers sign up under it they pay all the newspaper ads! So I don't have much to loose & prospects to gain. In that note, in one of my other postings someone mentioned to do as many open houses as I can to get contacts "milk the listing". A top producing agent told me the same to do an open house every other week. Is this correct? I also have a rental on the market & I will be getting another listing in March but until then this is all I have.

I would do as many open homes as you want. There is no "rule". I find most of my next clients at open homes and they work really well for me.

But, others don't meet anyone or don't know how to "work" an open house.

You really have nothing to lose by having it open (except killing a weekend). What's the worst that can happen, you may meet people?
