That's a good one, Aaron! I've had a few other listings from this company, but they were all vacant by the time I got involved.....The fun part is I haven't even gone to the property to verify vacancy yet - I want to be prepared when I get there, the power co. says there's still electric service there - and I've wasted my whole day waiting for this CFK agreement and they don't even know what a CFK is!!

AMC calls it RAA (relocation something assistance) and when I referred to it as CFK once, they didn't have a clue. maybe the company you're working with calls it something else and just doesn't understand it by a different name.

I understand the CFK concept, and of course it's the best thing to do... but it's just wrong. And then to pretty it up with fancy names.

DBPO Dead Beat Pay Off

(I've never done an REO, but I've paid off a tenant so we could sell without evicting his a$$ after months of no rent and damage... same thing GRRRR! )

I had one couple refuse CFK because they thought they could/should get more money to move because they "have more invested in the house then that!" Duh...
Two months later, we met the sheriff there, moved all their stuff onto the road, and they got nothing. well, except living for free for two months...
It's so much easier when the people know they are going to have to get out and are grateful for the help to get relocated. Easier on them, the bank, and me! I like the DBPO thing, tho!

Twice I've been authorized to give cash for keys to tenants (not owners of the property). In those cases I felt especially good about the deal. The tenants had done nothing wrong.
