Has anyone used Realtor.com as a paid service for leads? Apparently they launched a new service in November so if your using that please share.....or if you've used any services in the past.

Good or bad reviews please!!

Thanks in Advance!

I have used Realtor.com, zillow and Trulia. I find the quality of lead from them all the be about average. Half are serious and the other half are not. I average 50 leads per month on Trulia in which I also average 2 closed deals per month from it. So as you can see many leads are not too great but it does produce results. 20-28 closings per year from one lead source is aces in my book.

Having said that, my experience with Realtor.com was the worst out of the three. Give zillow or Trulia a try in my opinion.

FYI. I spend roughly $850 per month on Trulia. I am in south Florida.

Thanks for your Reply! I was looking to spend $550 for the side scraper on realtor.com and that was for 60% of the market share.

Zillow and Trulia are filled in my area so it sounds like I am better off sitting out on the sidelines until they open. I'll just put my money into farming and prospecting.

Wow, too bad my markets are already taken for any of the big aggregators. If Closer's numbers are reflective of overall lead quality, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Maui - try Homegain. I've had very good success with them. I wanted to buy more but a lot of the zip codes are taken. So I'm just waiting for some more zips to open up and they do on and off.

Don't waste the money on the skyscraper ads, those are just for branding. There's a reason they're discounting them.

If you're going to advertise with Realtor, get in on their co-broker connections. This is the one where when the buyer fills out an inquiry on a property where the listing agent doesn't pay for showcase listings, you get it.

The best part, they guarantee you a minimum number of leads with this program. The leads from this are much better than leads you'll get from a skyscraper ad as they're reaching out regarding a specific property and are asking to be contacted.

I hope this helps.

P. S. These ads are far less expensive than the Trulia and Zillow on a per zip code basis. They usually range from $82.50 - $250/mo

Thanks for all the input! I appreciate it. I've called several agents using it and have heard mixed reviews. Some love some don't. Seems like general consensus is that its more for branding.

I have a heading on Realtor.com- haven't gotten one lead off it. No luck here. I was on Zillow last year and closed five deals. Paid $550 a mth for it. Closed two with homes.com.

I would pass on Z & T. The reason they have to keep rotating agents through the areas, is because most of the leads are garbage.

Waiting for your turn to spend a bunch of money with them so you can sift through the manure dump doesn't seem like a good idea. smile

I have yet to have success with leads from Realtor.com. I don't know why, but they just do not generate quality traffic. Plus, being very frank - I think that their website redesign and new logo misses the mark, big time. The logo looks as if you are overflying a small fighter from the Empire Strikes Back. Or, a house in an earthquake...

You should try Trulia, you get many leads and you can count on a few to close.Better than 0 leads.

This is a very helpful thread as I'll be helping my wife market herself soon!

P.S. This 300 second limit on posting is a little steep.
