I was told to rekey a property which had already been rekeyed by Safeguard. I called safeguard for the lockbox code they stated that they only could give it out to Ocwen. When I told my Ocwen rep she replied:
"This property is still in redemption for which the sale is confoirmed for 06/12/2006, thus there is no LOCKBOX installed on it or neither can one be installed till it moves out. Kindly do not incur any expenses on this property as the maintainence and other management on this property will be done by a third party vendor.
"

Are you for certain that it's an Ocwen property? It may have been sold to them from another bank, or they may have sold it to someone after the s.s. I've had that happen, and it's a cluster...well ya know, for a couple of weeks.

Who told you to have it rekeyed? I had an REO assigned to me once and when I went to the property, it had been rekeyed already adn looked like someone had already done the trashout. I called the rep who assigned it to me and it turned out that the bank had given the same property to 2 different AM companies.

Take a picture of the lockbox and send it to your rep - she can't tell you there is no lockbox on the property if she is looking right at it.
