I have done them but I have always been paid about 175.00 per order. I have been contacted to do these from being on REO network which has been very profitable for me. I can also make more by taking comp photos...I love them. With the co's I do them for they only need a small amount of info..their big thing in good photos.

I don't bother. I know there was one company that I accidently clicked on yes for commercial, but they've never sent me any work, anyway. I have some experience selling commercial properties, so understand the very basics of figuring ROI, but I don't feel qualified at this point to give a realistic commercial valuation.

All the commercial, and mix usage ones I've done, I always, because sometimes whoever places the order doesn't know it's commercial, let them know at what price I'll complete it at. Never had a problem with getting the fee I want.
Most of them haven't been crazy bad as far as info wanted, or area, or finding comps. But one I can remember that was a real pain, was a former strip joint, owner sorta went off on me, had to stand in the street to get pics, got offered every drug in the book by a couple of guys, yeah. Like that.

That's exactly why I don't do them. I always turn them down, as I don't feel they're something I can do a good job on. I don't even list commmercial property.

No commercial BPOs for me. Outside the scope of my expertise. It would take me forever to do the research, find comps, and complete the thing.....and after all that it STILL wouldn't be all that good.
I'll stick to what I know. It's faster, easier, less of the PITA factor.

I had someone from a bank call me just to get a few pictures of a retail store - front, back, sides, street - I got $100 just to send in a few pics. That's the closest I've ever gone to doing commercial work - I've never dealt with commercial, so I don't think my BPO would be accurate. Another agent in my office got a BPO on an entire resort - hotel, cabins, restaurant. It took him a day just to get the pics, and I have no idea where he found comps or how long it took him to do the actual BPO - I think he only got $200.

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
