Can I get an mls printed list of about 200 or so houses from my realtor? I am an investor without access to mls. Is this ok? More importantly, If not, how could I do it to make it ok?

You can if you find the right agent.

Will you use that agent to purchase? Most MLS don't have a problem with what you are asking if you are working with an agent.

Couldn't chuchu accomplish the same thing via realtor.com for the market area that he's interested in . . . . or does s/he need all the particulars and contact information.

If the population of houses is 200, then somehow, the criteria needs to be better defined to reduce that number to something manageble without publishing such a massive number of prospects.

I know in my area we have a client view of the MLS data and the REALTOR view. The REALTOR view is really only to be shared with a client when making an offer. So some of the information he wants may not be available on realtor.com

But I think that the best method for him is to contact and start withing with a REALTOR to help him find an investment. After all using a REALTOR will not cost him anything as a buyer.

First question you need to ask yourself is what are my parameters, with that you might find that you do not need 200. The reason I say some parameters is needed because what good is it to pull listings that you would never consider buying. Real Estate is a buisness and we expect to receive compensatioin for our efforts. We as agents/brokers have to pay for the use of the mls, just in case you were not aware of that.

As a realtor, I would be happy to supply you with such a list, provided that you were willing to sign a buyers agreement with me.
