When Real Estate agents take you to see homes for sale do you have to drive there yourself, they chauffeur you in your car, or do they drive you in their car?

I have clients drive themselves and I meet them at the houses.

Is this a serious question?
I, sometimes, drive them.
They, sometimes, drive me.
Sometimes, we meet at the houses.

Usually my clients follow me in their own car. I do not like to have them in the same car as me. It also gives them a chance to talk privately between showings.

Sometimes I take them in my car; rarely do I go in their car. (I get car sick unless I am driving or in the front seat.)

I drive them most of the time.
Sometimes I ride with them (like last time when a golden retriever rode with us).

Here it's customary to drive the client. When showing many homes, you don't want to lose them in traffic.

Here it's more customary to caravan. Most of my clients are GPS-enabled, and I send them a schedule ahead of time so they know the intended route.

Occasionally I will drive if it seems easier (e.g., if parking will be a major issue). I rarely, if ever, ride in the client's car.

I've done everything so far except drive them myself. Managed to dodge the bullet of storing the kids' car seats so far smile

Usually, I prefer to meet the client at the property, especially if meeting in the office in not convenient for them geographically.

I once had a whole series of people on SSI or Disability calling my office to be shown houses because their Welfare Case Worker had told them that it was the Realtor's "job" to provide that kind of chauffeured pick up and delivery service.

Try and tell a disabled person that he's NOT going to get something that his Case Worker has previously told him that he's "entitled" to receive . . . . what a mess!

I prefer to be chauffered to the property in a limo. who pays for the limo is the big question.

I usually always drive separate. I do sometimes prefer clients ride with though to build a better relationship with them being that we're a heavy populated out of-town vacation area, and our buyers are primarily looking for 2nd and 3rd homes.

Most clients just want to meet me at the first home and then follow me to the next few homes we are seeing. Which makes sense since everybody is coming from and going to different locations.

The only exception to this would be if I have a client from out of town and we are going to be looking at homes all day.

I have found it totally depends upon the clients preferences. Most real estate buyers that our team has worked with here in MN over the years seem to want to follow our agent to the various MLS listings.

If you are just showing one property for sale, generally the realtor and the buyer meet at that listing.

It does depend upon the preferences upon those involved. I hope this helps.
