Visit this site if you want your holiday mood to disappear. Dang, I may not be the person handing out the presents this year...I may just be in the back of the room and have someone toss me my presents. Who knew a Christmas tree could be so...gross. Read what you are bringing into the house when you buy a real tree...and probably when you buy a live tree to plant later. I may be pushing plastic and aluminum from now on.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, everyone.

Actually had the Praying Mantis problem 1 time about 25 years ago! It's hilarious to remember it now, but it sure wasn't funny then. My mother has never bought another live tree!

I do not blame her. I remember my wolf spider invasion at my former apartment complex. No way I'm bringing in a hotel of creepy things for a month long visit. And...your mother can leave her tree up until after New Year's Day and not worry about dead needles all over the place. Yep, plastic is looking better all the time.
