Hello everyone!!! I am new to the insurance industry in Kansas and am looking for some help. I've worked with insurance agents in Oklahoma before and realize that 90% of the time, real estate agents send their business to one or two insurance companies. I would like to be one of those two companies, or the only company. How do I go about creating that bond or even meeting maybe new real estate agents to create that bond? Any ideas or help would be much appreciated. I work for American Family Insurance and the agency I work for is just over a year old.

THANK YOU!!! \:\)

tblackwell, give it some time.

You gave up after an hour! The insurance forum isn't frequented too often.

I think most Realtors send their clients to their own insurance agent. I like to know that the person I am referring to is kind and honest - so I refer to my insurance guy, since I've used his services I know how he operates.

The best thing you can do is visit some of the local realtors offices and let them know that you can bind a policy same day or even in 30 minutes. There are always the cases where the homeowners insurance gets forgotten til the last minute. Also an insurance guy I know uses www.insuremyhouse.com Might want to check it out.

Thats a great idea. I have got a few polices from my realtors.

Also another thing has been working for me very well is internet leads. Some of the companies I use are netquote, insurme and agent insider.

I have most sucess with netquote and insurme. Hope this helps tblackwell

We have an agent that approached us about sharing office space. He sponsors office meetings and is right there to answer questions and help clients.

ANothe rway in getting more clients for your insurance company is to market to loan officers and processers. I am not sure about agents but i know that Loan officers are the one that order insurance not Real Estate agents.

Pounding the payment is by far the best way to establish long term relationships.

I feel like pounding the pavement is old school. You need to bring something to the table - clients.

The best bet is to get yourself out there. Marketing is a big part of this. Someone mentioned earlier face to face marketing, which is probably your best bet. Also, think outside the box. Put yourself out there and you should get a good response.
