I think it is all going to depend on what market the property is located in.Different markets are going to have different needs and availability based on terrain,weather conditions and water availability etc. Here in Arizona you see less grass and more desert landscapes that require less water.In Missouri where I moved from there is a more lush and green landscape as there is more rainfall per year. As far as resale value between lawns and gardens that is going to depend on the buyer and what exactly they are looking for at the time. Keep in mind that most people are going to change their landscape over time to suit their own needs and wants.Good luck with your story.
