Ok, you've all been asking for websites and it seems that each time you ask for it the conversation ends or they ignore it all together. Well I decided to offer my links to anyone that is interested. Visit the Product and Services forum for more information. I have close to 130 links to BPO and Asset Management companies that I've accumulated over lots of hard work, etc. The above was posted in the "ASG Mortgage" Post, by another member,WABPOREOAgent. The above mentioned information is now posted on E-bay for $395. Your thoughts please......

I would think that some of the companies might not be happy that their info is being posted and sold on Ebay. If he is signed up with these companies he might not be for much longer if they find out what WABPOREO is doing I agree, and I think they need to know about it.

Well I just have to respond.
KY, you have agents spending hundreds of dollars, and I mean hundreds to enhance, just get listed with, or to add zip codes to their service area for ONE website. $395 for a list of around 130 companies is a very small price I do believe since the number one question on this board is, Do you have the web site address?
Maybe it's the, "Why did I think of that" syndrome.
Also, why in the world would any company care whether I was offering this list? The information is on the internet and through other sources, it's not rocket science here.

The list contains almost 130 links to varios BPO and Asset Management companies. Most you can sign up online, send an email, or provides information on how to submit an application. The name of the company along with a link to their website is included, some links have notes on how to apply. It's all done in WORD. These are links that I've accumulated over many, many hours work.
Here is how I see it. You can run down to the store and buy the beef, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, mayo, etc or you can run over to Burger King and buy the darn burger. Its there if you want it, but no one is forcing you to buy it. I'm not out to make a living, I just thought it was a NICE thing to offer since there are so many people on this forum that are looking for answers.
BTW, I'm co-owner of my firm, hold 5 REALTOR designations, member of about 9 associations, active in my community in business, sponsors, etc. Hence the reason it's on Ebay. If someone was to get the list and didn't see the value, than post feedback on Ebay. They also offer buyer protection as well as seller protection.

Explain what data the list contains. I would imagine you have to pay $395 for that! Its a free country. If someone would buy a potatoe chip with a face on it, then I guess they would pay for anything.

If I were an agent just starting out and needed to get my feet wet quickly I might pay for that info. I do however think by purchasing it I would miss out on some very valuable information. By sorting through the posts here I know what companies are good , what ones are bad, the slow pays, the no pays, the ones you get listings from etc etc etc... In my opinion you'll be better off in the long run doing your own leg work.

However, if this list contained information about if the company paid, their timeline for wanting work done and delivering payment, I could become interested. I think we would all like to know who paid...You just never know. Today I can tell you that eMortgage pays like clock work and tomorrow they stop. I've always done minimal work with new companies until they pay. Regarding timelines. Typically the turn-around time on a BPO is 72 hours, but you will also receive rush orders. I've seen a BPO come in with a deadline within hours. Companies typically don't have a set time. It depends on their client and the paticular order.

Agree with KY! You are making money off their name and co, they may want a cut of your profit if you get any buyers!

When I started this post, I didn't have an opinion either way, I just thought it would make for an interesting discussion, no harm was intended. I will say that it was bold, and I wish I would have had the time over the past month to compile a list of 130 BPO companies. But I happened to be in the middle of completing 130 BPO's. I think it is very impressive.
Now we have a place to send the new people when they ask "What's the website for that company?".
To which the answer could be "www.eBay.com".

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
