Does anyone advertise with listingbook? Do you feel like it is money well spent or wasted?

Why not just let them search all the listings on the IDX on your website?

I use listingbook pro It's great! Clients can do all the research themselves. My market is mainly the secondary home market most of my clients are from out of state they sign themselves up through my ads on craigslist or my web site it's a inexpensive lead generator for me any way. why on earth would you drive trafiic to a site you dont control or own. thats big risky..i would never drive traffic..to realtor.com or anywhere they can get snatched by a competitor

@lindenmoe - Scott Feldman from Listingbook here...
I 100% agree that agents should not direct clients/customers/prospects to websites where they are exposed to and possibly "snatched" by other agents.
That can not happen in Listingbook and it is why so many agents use us. Customers get the best information available anywhere and NEVER SEE ANY OTHER AGENTS OR BROKERS. We are a client management system, not a lead generator.
If you would like to know more please check out our website.
Also, we are rapidly expanding our footprint (current over 500,000 agents have access) and would be interested in discussing how to bring our service to new markets.
I hope this is helpful.

I checked it out and I wasnt impressed the fact I had no control. I am not putting my leads in there. What may they do with them....

Listingbook is awesome. Client goes in and they do not see the other brokers information. The agents can log in and see what the clients are looking at, what they like, don't like, and a bunch of other stuff. I've looked at it from a clients side and it works really well.

if agents did not pay for services like this, the public would be more inclined to call a professional....
think about it...they put all of our information on htier website and we pay them to let us use it...should be the other way around....no thanks.

I couldn't agree more. Create your own blog/site, and drive traffic there. That said, if you are not tech savvy, then Listingbook may be better than nothing. You know?

Sounds like most people in this thread have never used it. I see nothing wrong with the site. You get a client and they want to be emailed listings. Rather than them getting an email every morning, they can go on the site and do their own searching, make changes to their searches, while only seeing your information. I guess I don't see a downside to it.

I guess I don't see a downside to it. My clients can go to any one of my sites and search the same MLS listings with my IDX. Why should I put their contact info into a third party database? This only commits me to use listing book for the rest of my career. Plus, I would rather them get an email from ME every morning because if I don't send it to them someone else will. What if they find getting an email every morning more convenient than logging into lbook?

What if they find getting an email every morning more convenient than logging into lbook? Actually they do get emails when new properties come up. I see nothing wrong with keeping a clients name and email at their site. It's not like it's doing any harm. I just feel listingbook is better than searching my site or getting emails from the MLS. They get a little more control of what they want to see and it takes a little work off my shoulders. Right on my front page I can see their name, last time they logged in, new properties that match their criteria, favorites, rejects. It also tells me if they update their search criteria. Another thing I want to mention. I am planning on moving out of state. I have a broker sending me properties via email every morning from his MLS and I hate it. I wish they had listingbook in their area, or something similar so I can search around and be able to edit my searches without bothering him. Getting emails every morning just seems like it's what you would do 5 years ago and feels like it's out dated.

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
