I'm just getting started on the internet marketing aspect of my sales. Where can I learn about setting up a main website and also smaller niche website? Are there any places you have used to build a website you liked? I am wanting to spend up to $2000. This website has been a lot of help but I feel like I still have a lot to learn before setting one up. Thanks in Advance.

Marketing online works. And it totally rocks!

We have a lot of condos in the Miami area so optimally I would like to make a lead page for each one of them but there are so many.

SO I made a lead page for rentals, sales, and buyers.

An example of my rental site is http://apartments-for-rent-in-miami.com

Check it out. Good way to qualify prospects too. If they don't fill in their info you probably don't want to be working with them anyway.

It's all about online marketing these days.

I've had most of my websites created from developers found on oDesk.com. I'd recommend working directly with a developer.

Shoot me an email (bryan at realtyplug.com), and I'd be glad to refer to a number of developers that can build a great-looking website for less thatn $2000.

Best of luck

You can start a site for free with wordpress, wordpress themes and plugins.

If you have the time you can use Wordpress like Ryan has suggested earlier and create a basic website for youself and use the $2,000 for some online marketing campaigns (paid search, seo). I would suggest though to ask the help of a professional - first impression counts

For a new Realtor a $2000.00 budget is over the top. Some Realtors hate to hear this, but a website is a long-term lead builder and it takes patience, skill and tenacity to get to page 1 on a Google search. Your sphere of influence is where your business is going to come from. Think of using a templated website like www.ubertor.com.

I am an Approved Vendor so I am declaring my bias, but for a few hundred dollars you can have an easy to navigate, clean, professional webs presence with a built in blog that you can maintain yourself. Down the road consider a custom website, but starting out put your money where the biggest return is going to be; your sphere of influence, the low hanging fruit.

I'm with Ryan on this one! Wordpress is easy to navigate. There are plenty of You Tube videos to help you get started. Once you understand all the pieces that are necessary to put into place, you can outsource to a virtual Assistant.

When you have someone else build your site, you not only lose control over the updates, you may be tied to monthly continuity fees to keep the site active. It will always cost to update any changes as well.

Then there's the issue of getting traffic to your site and how to track it.

Have you selected a domain name?
Do you know about Hostmonster?

I just spent 24 months immersing myself in the tactical world of online marketing. Believe me, I surround myself with successful marketing entrepreneurs beyond the real estate community on this one.

I would be glad to communicate with you on this subject. Welcome aboard.

A great, free way to market your listings is with Postlets.com. Postlets will syndicate your listings to multiple real estate websites for free. In addition, it provides a free website called a "gallery" that will showcase all your listings with maps and your direct contact information. You can see an example at http://raquelsellsphillyhomes.postlets.com/

A similar site to Postlets is Point2 (http://agent.point2.com/). They offer agents personalized webpages and listing syndication features (for a cost though)
