Some of the AM companies were giving out higher paying BPO's a few years ago. I'm talking normal turn-around time, exterior orders. do they exist anymore?

Some firms only call me when they're prepared to pay $100 (for a Drive-By); others know that's my minimum; but still think it's worth their while to call up and haggle.
I don't think any of them will publish those Fees as a starting point anymore . . . . like in any bargaining situation, the first one to mention money usually loses.
But as they say . . . . everything is negotiable. I'm always willing to negotiate; as long as I get my $100 !

I get them, but mostly interiors, and one company pays $90 for exteriors, but they are a little different as they are actually two types of orders merged into one. My favorite company though!

Going down memory lane I remember the LA Form A rush for $100.00. Those were the days!

When you accept a BPO blast order..no. When you talk to a person...yes! Good luck!

And another of my favorite BPO companies just had an "upper management decision" to lower their BPO fee from $45 to $40. Is it greed or are they trying to be competitive?
A company once told me it was lowering the fee to be more competitive for their clients and so I could get more opportunities. To which I explained that there are just so many BPOs I can do in one day so now I have to work longer to make the same money. But thanks for the "opportunity"!

The outsourcers are being squeezed just as we are. Company A gives a client the dog and pony show that they'll have a 10 page BPO performed for a nickle. This forces company B to compete or die. Then the client starts paying on 90 days. All this flows downhill and agents are pressured to do the 30 buck 10 page BPOs and wait 90 days. Profit magins are being squeezed. The question is does it start at the top or the bottom. If no agent performs for 30, then the dog and pony presenter folds up and we're back to normal. But that isn't about to happen. There are skilled folks out there that are working in a clerical capacity cause that's what it takes to take care of their families. While 30 bucks is chump change for some, it pays the rent for others. With unemployment where it is people are forced to take what's offered. Supply and demand....an oversupply of employees and a shortage of jobs. Call folks names, ridicule them, but it's economics 101. We don't have to like it, but we do have to cope with it.

5 ext. jobs today all diff. companies. 1 has no comps. 255 total, average is 51.
I took a 40 one since they started coming late. I would prefer normally let 40 go by the wayside.

I still get the $50 exteriors and the $100 interiors but these are assigned, and ususally involve them calling me. I do not do BPOs for a living and pick these up when they ask. It is not consistant, like I said, ususally a random phone call from companies asking if I can take it. Sometimes it feels like the order fell behind someone's desk and they just found it when sweeping the floor.

I just declined 2 IAS rush orders for $100 a piece. Still in a little bit of a haze over the decision. But I am sitting with a plateful of orders for a company that pays me within a week or 10 days of complettion. I am going to cater that company. Still shaking my head, though. Not sure when I would have seen the money with IAS, if ever.

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
