Actually lindenmoe, the value is in the posts already written answering these same questions. We don't want a board that is full of the same questions being asked and answered over and over and over again.

It is right here in the Terms of Use for this board, which everyone agrees to follow if they sign up for an account:

Quote:
One of the key benefits of the discussion board format is that it enables commonly asked questions to be answered once, for the benefit of all. Before posting your question, it is always worth checking to see if it has already been asked - and answered! You can do this via the Search island. Using the Search island, you can perform a quick keyword search, or click on the "Advanced" button to search by more specific criteria. Various options are available, both for how the search term is specified and for controlling how many forums you want to search. This is where the specificity of topic subjects is important, making it much easier to locate precisely what it is you're after from a list of search results.

Thank you.

My tip for new realtors is to focus on relationship-building over time with the contacts you have in your database. This is foundation for having a career that's based on referrals and repeat business..
A great resource for new realtors is IXACT Contact Blog http://blog.ixactcontact.com. It's a blog with some great articles on how to maximize your effectiveness in real estate sales.

The best advice I can give you is to get a real estate contact management system to keep your business organized and get new clients.

Here's a great article explaining the downfalls of not getting one when you first start: I've Lost So Many http://activerain.com/blogsview/2649260/i-ve-lost-so-many

New Realtors get IXACT Contact for their first six months FREE! You can signup at IXACT Contact www.ixactcontact.com and then fax a copy of your real estate license, proving your first year status, to sales@ixactcontact.com.

Good luck!

Matthew

I too am pretty new. So I have a question for the experienced realtors. How do you qualify your leads? What questions do you ask? Half my leads are tire kickers. They don't know the area and are in no hurry to buy. What questions should I be asking these leads?
gather 100 people in your sphere asap..friends family, everybody
mail them, call them or both...
get a decent website with idx..
for buyers you can use it to get free leads from craigslist
for sellers
call fsbos, mail them or both
go to trulia, zillow, homegain,..
and just talk to the public or observe
last but not least invest in yourself
join masterminds, attend events, get the free materials from mentors and coaches..trust me on that

ive never gotten a return from social media or open houses
but they are free :-)
The only thing I would add is expired listings

Google Custom Forum Search

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
