I am a well seasoned residential broker but not a lot of commercial experience with a client wanting to sell a restaurant. It is a bar and grille, beachfront location in a high traffic, prime location, full liquor license, great name and reputation and growing nicely. Desired purchaser would be a national company with a beach or seafood theme or a capitalized entrepeneur. Current establishment seats nearly 200 with inside and outside open air seating. Owner would sell business, property or both, hold note, leaseback property etc. I am trying to start a conversation with the appropriate people at perhaps a regional or national chain with an acquisition department and connect with a commercial broker on a referral/training basis so I can stay somewhat involved in the transaction.
