Hopefully someone who knows will run across this.

I'm having difficulty determining what the 'real deal' is with the NWMLS, and the rules on IDX feeds. Am I correct (or not) that the rules state that "agents" (now called brokers) are only authorized to display the IDX feeds through a "frame" on their website, and that feed will be branded with the broker of record?

Obviously, this provides absolutely no value as far as content goes, so one has to wonder what the point is in having it at all.

Clearly, there will be some politics to navigate with the NWMLS (like there are in most). But, it seems counter-productive to me to not allow true search engine indexing of listings across the board. If anyone is so inclined, please enlighten me.

Luckily, I only use RMLS based out of Portland for my listings. NWMLS has made things complicated for no reason. I only use them for the xpressdocs paperwork. Not sure about how they rule the IDX feeds.
