Do you listen about something like the Recycled Island?

I assume that it should be a great eco project. I instantly find a good text about this topic => http://juliekinnear.com/blogs/recycled-island-%E2%80%93-an-unrealistic-concept-or-hope-for-the-future.html

Well, I took a look and certainly did love how it started out. I'll read up on it and see what is going on there. Thanks for posting it. It's totally new to me.

Have a Green Drinks meeting today and a garage sale for the next three days...the last of my downsizing so I can stay in my travel trailer. I'll research it when I get home at night so give me a couple of days. Something good to do with garbage...that even sounds good, although I have no idea how it will work. Should be very interesting reading.

It sounds to me like an unrealistic concept. But we need dreamers and you have to set your sites high right?

Welcome to Agents Online and our green forum. Thanks for posting. And how are things in AZ right now?

Whenever I run across something that is way far out there (and this is), I just try to think what people 100 years ago would have said if they had been able to look into the future. Right now, I am thrilled I found a solar fridge.

Yes, Recycled Island is a dreamer's concept...but you summed it up. We need dreamers. Otherwise, we may as well sit down and wait for the end to come. Some family will take the idea of Recycled Island and make it a Recycled tiny sized island for their get-away in the stream running through their land. They will have fun camping on it...and some neighbor on the next acre will try to improve it to show them up...and there you go. Recycled Islands will start popping up everywhere. You will be able to buy books in the Wal-Mart RV aisle that show how to build one. Yahoo will try to map them with stars like they do the local restaurants. The National Association of Realtors will try to list them on the MLS. And when they do, I want one so I can live on it myself and pass my own rules...first one being, NO BOOM BOXES. Second one, all visitors to Recycled Island must bring their empty Ozarka bottles to recycle (in case I need any repairs).

Seriously, such incredible things are happening now that I would not be shocked to see this happen...if I live that long.

I remember being so confused when I heard that a person could get on the internet from their car...no wires or anything. Yikes, how long ago was that.

One last thought - Recycled Island would likely be funded by some gambling casino that wanted to set up shop on what would be a fantastic tourist attraction.
