Question - I have moved to a rural area and MLS is very limited. I am looking for a source of Sold Comps. Do any of you have any suggestions for a good source. Has anyone any experience with RealQuest, Sitexdata, or Redlink? Thank you.

It's probably not that the MLS is limited; rather, it's because it's a rural area.

I'm in one of those places with a very low population density per square mile - only 15 to 20 in many places. Some of our Towns have Zero Populations. My own Town has fewer prople now than it did at the time of the Revolution.

Without people, we find that there's hardly any need for houses.

But our MLS has the bulk of the activity, limited as it may be.

I live on Long Island in NY. We are generally a suburban area, but we have significant sections that have rural attributes and are somewhat exclusive. Half if not more of the RE that is transacted goes on outside of MLS. Some times I get lucky using the public record. Sometimes I scout the local Realtor's that operate out side mls, as most of the have websites.
