Hi all,
I'm new to this forum. I am currently totally free to live anywhere I want but having a difficult time figuring out where I want to move to (within the US). I'm thinking Florida since most of my relatives and friends are there (in S. Fl.), but I won't move to S. Fl since it's too crowded and it's relatively expensive nowadays. So Central Florida seems like a better option.
But where do I get info on this? All guidebooks I've seen so far are for tourists -- discussing restaurants and attractions, and especially so for the central Florida (Disney).
Internet relocation info is limited to numbers -- demographics, crime percentages, prices of housing, etc.
I expect a realtor can give me a lot of this, but realtors are focused on certain areas, and I'm still not sure where in central Fl I would want to be in. Also, I'm not sure if central Fl is the answer, so I need some form of comparison and guide to different cities in the U.S. I have some other specifics, such as no snow, and must have a garage, etc, so I need some guide that will let me narrow down the options.
Are there any resources (books, websites, etc) that discuss various cities and the differences between the suburbs from a relocation standpoint?
Thanks,
-Neil.
