I've got a question for those of you brokers out here in the great state of California.
I just got a referral from a "former" Realtor. Former in the fact that he has a license, but is not working under a broker. Can I legally give him a referral fee? I'm not sure if the license is still current.....
Do I need to change it to something else like a "consultant fee" and use a 1099 form?
