I am finally moving to the iPhone for real estate, after almost two years with BlackBerry, I feel that it lacks innovation and the ability to offer the most to business professionals and real estate broker's etc.

If anyone here is using the iPhone for real estate, please give me feedback and any good apps that I can download and use for the business.

I'm somewhat thinking about that also. I too have a Blackberry, but it seems all the most useful apps are on Iphone or Andriod.

I just got the Thunderbolt Android on Verizion. Pretty frickin unbelievable. Had a Iphone and a blackberry. Voice and data at the same time if you are in a 4G area. The internet is as fast as my broadband desktop.

The 4g thing is what I'm torn about. It most likely won't be in my area for a couple years. I'm thinking of just waiting it out with my blackberry until it is then see what kinds of phones are on the market then.

For those of you waiting or currently using BlackBerry, try the iPhone and check out the apps for real estate and business and it might change your mind.

Also, do any of you iPhone users have any good real estate apps for me?

I was a longtime BlackBerry user and recently switched to the iPhone. The BlackBerry does email better, but the iPhone does everything else so much better it makes up for it, and typing out emails on the iPhone gets easier...but not as slick as on the BlackBerry.

Thanks Steve, I really think that for marketing and just to have a competitive edge these days you need the best technology and phone available to you.

I heard of an app where when you stand in a house/condo/etc. you can tell where the sun rises, set's etc.

This is an amazing tool and you can wing it by telling your clients you know the area well enough and know that.

I saw nifty app online that you can measure a room by putting a credit card in the room and taking a picture of it. I don't have an iphone or I would try out this one.

How are you finding the lack of push mail on the Iphone? I find that it's the most important thing to help me respond quickly to clients and that is why I'm with Blackberry.

You could set up your e-mail to be pushed to you every 15 minutes. Or you could check it manually more often. Do you
need e-mail checked more often than every 15 minutes?

I like the openness of the Android operating system. Also there is a little more variety in things like screen size. The Iphone screen seems small in comparison to some of the newer android phones.

Update: I am on the iPhone and don't expect to EVER go back to BlackBerry. The iPhone camera, video camera, app's and even the phone quality is amazing and far superior to any other phone I have used, I often visit and scope properties out, take videos and pictures and then e-mail them to clients before we visit etc. Apps are excellent, the banking and e-mailing are both good, it's easier to browse the internet, e-mails and sites via the iPhone and the app's for Real Estate and the MLS are excellent, I literally have a laptop in my pocket these days!!!

I always had Blackberry and am now IPhone. I can honestly say, Blackberry is Stoneage and iphone is the future.

Apps I like;
Itorch, Top Producer, not much else.
With iPhone you can save all your favorite forums to the desktop screen. Also you can capture a thread which you want to save for future viewings to the desktop plus much more.

I feel like the primary argument is iphone and blackberry, but seriously droid has some of the best customization especially the htc phones. I've had an iphone (though never a blackberry) and the driod just helps me find everything I need so much faster
