Hi everyone. I'm a real estate agent looking to get licensed in New York in the very near future. I'm an experienced Realtor in a bordering state right now.

I'm meeting with a broker next week to talk and I wanted to see if anyone who is licensed in New York has some good advice as to how to approach real estate in one of the toughest markets in the world. I'm basically starting a new business from scratch in a city of 20 million people. I was just told today from an agent who use to be a New York City Realtor that "there's real estate and then there's NYC real estate"...... Kinda took the air out of my balloon.

Maybe some good reading material on the New York market and how to grow a real estate business there?
