After you get a License, and have an idea of what the business entails, you could just make a list of all of those aspects that you don't want to do and then see if there's much left over that some Broker would pay you to do.

Maybe they'll need someone to proofread ad copy; but just a warning . . . . that will sometimes require using upper case to communicate.

Buddy of mine was a buyers agent for a big time agent.
He always had 10-15 active buyers at all times, worked
on 2-3 offers per week and sold a lot of homes (I wont tell
you the number).

He just quit working for this lady and is very happy now,
the workload was punishing and he lasted 4 years.

He earned very good money but gave a huge chunk away
to the superstar agent. This agent would e-mail him
at 1am in the morning with demands.

Girtrute, perhaps you can specify those aspects that you ARE willing to do and members here can give you some feedback as to how feasible that is. If you are not willing/able to get your own leads, perhaps there is a plethora of other things that you also don't want to do. Just give us some perspective and we can better help you.

Here's a suggestion, call a broker, tell them you are interested in possibly becoming an agent and see if they'll sit down with you to discuss everything that entails.
If you don't want to generate your own leads, the best solution might be to work with a team as a buyer's agent. You'll give up some potential revenue, but you won't be spending $ on lead generation.

Sounds to me like you may want to be a licensed assistant perhaps. That would mean doing a lot of the grunt work for the agent you are assisting, including paperwork, taking pictures for listings, updating the MLS, sending out postcards/mailings (paid for by the agent of course), and depending on your skill and intellect, possibly taking out buyers that the agent hasn't got time to take care of.

It definitely sounds like you would rather be an assistant and you could always agree on a certain salary per week if you loathe the idea of working by the hour. Run it by your broker. Every office has a superstar agent that might want to hire you as a personal assistant.
