I've gotten as far as passing my state license exam. While I love being around houses, I really can't stand sales. I enjoy working in the properties themselves or using the data about the houses (working up repair estimates, preparing comps, etc.). A local agent has offered to hire me to set up her new listings so she spends less time in the field. I've also considered setting a business running comps or repair estimates for investors. I'm not sure what my options are in offering related support services. I only have a vague picture of what to do next. Forgive my newbie questions!

If I'm not bringing in direct sales commissions, what's a broker's incentive for letting me hang my license with them?
Can I offer services to any agent or only the ones with the brokerage?
What could I expect to charge for running comps or estimating repairs?
What would an agent pay per house to set them up?
Is it legal for a broker to pay you for work during the time you're waiting for the application to be approved by the state licensing board?

Thanks for your suggestions!
