Is that a bad thing or a good thing? I love postlets especially because they are free!! do you know they are going to charge for every postlet?

Considering how Zillow operates, the days of free Postlets are numbered IMHO.

I read that Zillow was having an IPO to go public. Maybe they are raising the cash to play a lot a pac-man and this is the first step?

What it means is A company saw another company that they wanted to buy, so they made an offer which was accepted, so Zillow now owns it.

Its like going to Walmart and seeing a pair of flip flops that you decide you want. You take it to the register, give the cashier your 2.99 and leave. You own the flip flops. Same thing on a smaller scale.

Hope this helps.

Add this to the mix:

MOVE runs realtor.com Listhub aggregates and syndicates MLS listing data. Both consumers and agents use Postlets. Ask yourself: why would MOVE give zillow data if it ultimately competes against r.com?

Just a thought, but I don't think zillow takes any feeds from MLS's. It relies on other sources so it does not have to follow the various MLS requirements. So really it could be a stand alone MLS and a pretty big one. Maybe soon we could pay our dues to zillow (national MLS) and that would shake some stuff up.

The Walmart of MLS's.
