I was wondering if any member here are planning on attending the Realtor Quest in May (http://www.realtor-quest.ca/) or if you guys have attended these types of shows before. Are they worth it? I have only been to consumer shows of this type, and often they are not worth it, are the industry shows any better?

I didn't know anything about this. Thanks for posting this message. I'm going to have a look at the info on the site. It looks interesting. I'd also love to hear from others that have attended one in the past.

no prob., I found out about this through the OREA group on Facebook, so if you're on it, you may want to sign up... I assume they will share other things that may be useful...

Looks to me like just one more way for somebody to take money out of my pocket.

well, it's free for members of TREB, and as far as I can tell you can get educational credits from the workshops... so it might be worth it for members of TREB, not sure about London, though ;)

I e-mailed the contact for more info. Non members can attend. It's 50.00 for the two days and you would need to contact them to get a non member registration form. Yes, it does appear that you can get credit for CE courses taken at the two day event.

right, the question remains on whether the event is worth it if you have to pay $50 for it... I'm especially interested in this as someone who's not licensed just yet, so I would have to both pay for it (as I'm not a TREB member yet), and I won't be able to get ce credits (as I'm still doing my pre-articling courses)...

I wonder if any of the info there might be useful to someone in my position... sigh...

I wondered the same thing as I am not yet registered. I have decided that I will wait until next year and decide at that time if I will attend and spend the money at that point. I would love to hear from others that have attended though.

I'm also on the second one. Yeah, there's lots of info, but I find it a lot less useful than all the info I'm getting here smile

Looks like I'll be waiting to see if it comes to London then. If it's offering educational credits then I'll change my tune on it and say that it would be worth attending. You usually need to spend some money to get educational credits so you could end up saving some money in the end.

There's one coming to Kitchener-Waterloo... http://www.kwar.ca/XPO/ not sure if this would be useful for you, it's still a drive...

Thanks for the info NJ. K-W is a lot closer than TO for sure.

I think I'll check with LSTAR and see if they are going to have one come to London as well.

Hi,
If you are not registered yet then I would say that it is not worthwhile to pay the $50 but once you register then it is worthwhile. Especially because of the CE credits. I live close by as well so that helps.I go there every year.
