I want to host an IDX website on my own server, not a third party server. Does anyone know of a company that will handle the RETS feed and design a website to display all of the IDX listings available with the data stored on my server.

Sorry, Mike. I don't have an answer for you. But I have a question for you: What do you foresee being the advantages of hosting the IDX feed on your own server? Do you know whether it's possible?

I want to host my own IDX connection because it will give me much better control over search engine optimization and will reduce the risk of having to rebuild the site if my IDX vendor goes out of business.

I already have an agreement with my MLS to do this and I have the RETS feed available to me. I just need a web development company to display the data as I direct.

As soon as I find a provider that can perform in this area, I'll share it with you. So far, I have not found a provider that can deliver the service I want on my own server.

Yes. Been very happy with the service/product. It is geared towards website developers and not agents so you must know HTML/CSS PHP etc to customize your site. Some of the Add-ons are a must IMHO, both free & paid.

I could not find anybody who could get open realty to set up the idx pages as individual pages with se friendly urls.

I am using version 3.0.13, there is another newer version. Under Site Config, go to SEO Links, and edit the Listing URL. Change it by adding the Listing Title Tag from the OR Docs. If you are using one of the older version, I am not sure if this is possible.

I want it to be done automatically for all the listings so the listings reside on my site like regular pages. And i need all the listings for each subdivision to be on each subdivision page.

Poke around on Open Realty forums but be aware they are developers and will respond to questions in a snarky manner sometimes. Overall, I think with some custom scripts, OR could work well for you Bigtoe.
