Can anyone tell me if they are using Growth Leader (powered by Market Leader) and how it is going?

Yes I am using it. Have had it since September. Have about 90 leads, many of whom are woefully unrealistic. Have 1 smoking hot buyer looking in a reasonable price range. Otherwise...the others are non-responsive, or they are looking for 2011 properties at 1996 prices, or they are just Mickey Mouse leads who wanted to search the database (that's why I hate things that make you register; forces people to register and waste your time who have no intention of buying.) I have had leads from people named Art Kitect and Joe Schmoe.

My broker paid for it and I pay them a referral fee for any transaction that closes because of Market Leader. It's a nice interface, great contact management system, but the quality of the leads seems to be lacking IMHO. Maybe I'm just getting all the duds at once and then in a few weeks I'll get a gazillion good leads.

But if I had to pay for this (other than referral that is) I wouldn't.

How much does Growth Leader Cost? I don't feel like calling and going through the whole sales spiel.

A LOT OF MONEY. And I would never pay for it. I stopped using the program as have some others in the office. A few people have gotten good leads from it, I got one sale, but too many junk leads or people looking for homes way way way below average market value (like, the average "cheap" home here is in the 90,000-120,000 range...I was getting people looking to spend no more than 25,000 INCLUDING their closing costs. Stupid waste of time for me.

I don't know how much the fee is but trust me when I tell you - it is a LOT! Way way way more than it's worth. Plus you better make sure you read every tiny bit of fine print before you sign anything, if you do sign up - and make sure you ask them to give you their 6 month trial period rules IN WRITING up front and make SURE you read it carefully - people have gotten nailed by deciding at the end of the 6 month trial that they didn't want to continue, but oops, Market Leader would not let them out of the year's contract because they were supposed to inform ML 30 days before the 6 months was up...tricky!
