You and I have the opportunity to do each other a favor: we are both in the same business with the same interests, but we work different areas because we live so far apart. Yet our clients and customers come and go -- possibly from my area to yours and vice versa -- while you and I just stay put.
So why don't we try to trade clients and customers? You and I never have the slightest control over who is moving, or where they are going to live next, but I sure would like it if there were someone out there in the real estate business with whom I could build a working relationship! That way, if my seller is moving to your area, I could recommend you. Also, I could recommend you if my buyer had to sell in your area prior to buying a home here. You could do the same for me if your people had business in my area. Sound like a fair trade to you?
In the long run, what I'm really after is the extra business. But for now, I'm interested in paying -- and getting paid -- a 20-30 percent referral fee, payable at the close of the referred transaction. Sound like a good tentative proposal? I'd love to talk with you about it, so please pop me an email by:
