yes, I believe so. I'm just a dabbler. I have a good knowledge of the old school stuff...html. lol. I'm lost with this new stuff. (Gadzooks that makes me sound old. ROFL) ha-ha, I've been working with net related stuff since about '94, so yeah, I'm more familiar with the old than with the new... out of CMS I've only really tried Joomla, and was sure that wordpress was a blogging thing... I'll have to take another look at it, since I'll have to make a site for myself soon too (I'm pretty sure that I won't be able to blog consistently, I always start and fizzle out within about a week or so ;))

Hi everyone, I was just reading this and wanted to explain a bit about what Wordpress is and what it can do. I have designed several websites in Wordpress over the last couple of years for many applications.
At its heart, wordpress is a blogging Content Management System, which means it offers a web panel that allows a non-technical person to easily update their website without knowing html, php, javascript or anything else. In short, you can update the text using a familiar word processor type of interface.
That being said, the platform can be used for basically everything imaginable. This includes ecommerce stores, blogs, social networks, real estate websites, and really anything else you can think of. And in every one of these applications, what you want can be achieved either free or for very reasonable rates.
In fact, I recently found www.idxbroker.com which offers a plugin for wordpress that allows you to easily add an idx feed to a wordpress site. I have not tried it out so I do not know if it is any good, but I plan to in the very near future.
I hope this helps clear everything up. If you have questions, feel free to pm me.

Do a YouTube video introduction of yourself---
Take the embed code and put it on your website.
It's a relationship business.
Good luck!
Thanks--Mario

This Google Custom search may do a better job of searching the forums for some keywords than the old forum search does. The results do not include threads from the Asset Managers Forum however. To search that forum you will need to be actually in the Asset Managers Forum and you will need to use the old forum search below.
